The chair element is frequently used by the artist in their work, both as a symbol and as a form of self-representation. An object that has always been a part of our daily lives and has often been employed throughout history as a metaphor for solidity, refuge, temporal and spiritual authority, in “Dominio sbagliato” the chair instead becomes a means to implement a reversal of perspective, a disruption of balance, and a dismantling of certainties. In the video, the chair is first assembled and then dragged along the street, where contact with the asphalt gradually wears down its legs, thereby undermining not only its structural integrity but also the intrinsic symbol of balance and stability that this object represents. The chair thus becomes an archetypal element, taking on its own vital significance and revealing with effective imaginative immediacy how the friction of time and everything we encounter along our path can gradually, yet inexorably, erode both our physical presence and our inner stability.

L’elemento della sedia viene frequentemente utilizzato dall’artista nel proprio lavoro, sia come simbolo che come forma di auto-rappresentazione. Oggetto da sempre parte del nostro quotidiano e nel corso della storia spesso impiegato come metafora di solidità, di rifugio, di potestà temporale e spirituale, in “Dominio sbagliato” la sedia diviene invece un mezzo per attuare un ribaltamento di prospettiva, di rottura di equilibri e scardinamento di certezze. Infatti, nel video la sedia viene prima assemblata per poi essere trascinata a lungo in strada, dove il contatto con l’asfalto a poco a poco ne consuma le gambe, minandone così non solo l’integrità strutturale, ma anche l’emblema intrinseco di equilibrio e stabilità che questo oggetto rappresenta. La sedia diviene quindi un elemento archetipico e va ad assumere un proprio carico vitale, svelando con un’efficace immediatezza immaginifica come l’attrito del tempo e di tutto ciò in cui ci imbattiamo lungo il nostro percorso riescano gradualmente, ma inesorabilmente, ad intaccare tanto la nostra permanenza fisica così come quella interiore.
